Matthew K. Arbo, MBA – Managing Principal

Matt serves as our Managing Principal and joined Healey & Associates in 1999 after spending 12 years as an Executive Director of a law firm. In 1981 Matt founded Historic Investments, a property development company which restored properties constructed prior to 1930 within National Historic Trust guidelines.

Matt has over a decade of entrepreneurial, finance and accounting, strategic planning, marketing and client development experience. He received his BA/BS from Boston College and University of New England and his MBA from University of New Hampshire. He is past President of the Down East Chapter of Legal Administrators and actively involved in the American Management Association, The National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Employee Benefits Council of Maine.

Matt has been our corporate liaison since 1999 for the Maine Non Profit Association and actively manages our extensive non-profit trust funding, over 3 million dollars of initiatives in Maine to benefit the sector.  He manages our large and mid-market client benefit plans. He is a frequent contributor and author of several health and wellness articles and a regular speaker on wellness interventions, partially self-funded health insurance plans and medical cost-containment mechanisms.  He has won several awards including the Kennebec Valley Community Action Business of the Year Award, The Shining Star Award, Business Partner Award and many others for providing and expanding business benefit innovation.
